The weigela bush is a hardy plant requiring minimal maintenance while producing beautiful tubular-shaped flowers that come in various hues and attract hummingbirds and butterflies. A member of the honeysuckle family, weigela is native to parts of Asia, however, breeding breakthroughs in the US have produced newer cultivars with different colors.
Butterflies and hummingbirds can be found fluttering through the streets and gardens of homes in this community. Each home hosts its own unique variety of weigela, some have red flowers, some white, some pink, some purple, some have bright green leaves, and others with darker reddish leaves, as well as many other unique distinctions.
